2010 BMW Concept 6-Series Coupe

BMW’s next-generation 6-Series is just around the corner, with an early 2011 reveal looking more and more likely. We’ve seen prototypes for both the Coupe and the Convertible for more than a year now, and at the 2010 Paris Auto Show we saw a concept version of the new 6-Series that previews the look of the new luxury cruiser.

Now we have word that the 2012 BMW 6-Series will star alongside Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 4, due out next year. Filming of the new movie, Mission Impossible: The Ghost Protocol, is currently taking place at locations in Dubai and in the UK. It’s believed that the BMW 6-Series will be used in several car-chase action sequences.

If that wasn’t enough, BMW recently held an invitation only event previewing its new 6-Series Convertible and it’s believed Tom Cruise was among the attendees.

The Mission Impossible series has certainly had some memorable car appearances in the past--who could forget the scene with Maggie Q stepping out of a bright orange Lamborghini Gallardo in Mission Impossible III.
