Hyundai Genesis Gogogear Racing Coupe for SEMA
Hyundai's Genesis Coupe is already proving itself a capable performer at the grassroots level of motorsports, and the Korean automaker is looking to highlight the platform's potential at SEMA this year with a special track version from Gogogear Racing.
The car won't be a show-only special: it will be raced in the NASA U.S. Touring Car Championships. To make it truly race-worthy, the Gogogear team has bumped output from the 3.8-liter V-6 engine to 330 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque via an AEM intake, Magnaflow exhaust and ARK Performance headers.
Gogogear expects the racing Genesis Coupe to be capable of 1.4 g in lateral acceleration, meaning it should eat up the corners. StopTech brakes paired with Hawk racing pads and Konig lightweight wheels will help the car get the edge in braking zones, too.
A full racing aero kit, plus all the safety gear you'd expect in a wheel-to-wheel road racer is also packed into the car, along with a RacePak IQ3 data logger. Check out page two for the full release.
