We're big fans of booze, in the right context. We think it's safe to say that context isn't behind the wheel of your C6 Corvette as you park it at speed in someone else's living room.

But that's just what Pat Leeper, 63, appears to have done late last month in Burbank, CA. The house will require $60,000 in repairs, though the Corvette actually looks to have held up to the demolition duty rather well.

The house Leeper crashed into? That of 89-year old Emmy-winning puppeteer Rene Zendejas, who was already distraught over the death of his pet canary earlier in the week. Zendejas says Leeper wasn't drunk, however, but simply disoriented.

Thanks, California. You just can't make up stuff like this.
