This little Swift has been earning a lot of praise over the years. The fellas at Top Gear gave it a lot of praise by
playing ice hockey with it. It was known for being small, but feeling as solid as something twice its size. Plus, it was supposed to be great fun on a twisty road.
Now, a new one has come out. It was just revealed at Paris last week, and just like before it isn't coming to the U.S.
Wait... it is??
Yep, finally a car we don't have to envy. The Swift is expected to land in the U.S. at the end of this year. No powertrain specifications have been released, but it is doubtful we will get the 1.2-liter 97-horsepower four cylinder. That's a bit of a shame since it can return 47 mpg.
Whatever the engine, this Swift is a big deal. Like most Suzukis, it will be cheap to buy and cheap to own. If it can be fun at the same time, then wait just a few more months before getting that college car.
