2011 Aston Martin Vantage N420 Roadster

With the auto show season just beginning, many automotive manufacturers are unveiling many new models and concepts.  Lamborghini has been teasing its new models for the last couple weeks.  Aston Martin doesn’t just tease but does a full on reveal.

Taking after the N420 coupe and the successor to the N400, the roadster will keep the same 4.7-liter, 420-horsepower V-8 engine and includes the Sport Pack suspension as standard equipment.  The engine can be matched to either a six-speed slush box, or the optional Sportshift automated manual transmission.  The top speed hovers around insane at about 180 mph.

This model weighs 59 lbs. less than the standard vehicle, while using carbon fiber splitter, diffuser, and side skirt.  It is available in Aston Martin “Race Collection” paint schemes to look extra sexy.

The N420 draws on Aston Martins experience at the Nuerburgring 24-hour race, entering near standard vehicles.  Price is still unannounced and will be released closer to launch.
