2010 Infiniti Performance Line G Cabrio Concept
Back in May, Nissan filed for trademark protection for the names "IPL" and "Infiniti Performance Line."
Now Nissan has confirmed its second Infiniti Performance Line (IPL) offering, the G Convertible Concept, will debut at the Paris Auto Show later this week.
The first offering from the IPL, the 2011 G Coupe, was unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August, offering a 348-horsepower 3.7-liter V-6 engine.
“The Infiniti Performance Line is designed to push the premium performance envelope for buyers seeking a higher level of exclusivity and driving exhilaration,” said Infiniti Vice President Ben Poore. “IPL promises unique driving attributes from other Infiniti models, without adding stratospheric prices.”
The G Convertible Concept will offer an IPL-tuned V-6 engine under the hood. Also coming to the IPL G Convertible Concept are special sport-tuned suspension and steering gear, IPL aerodynamic styling, dual exhaust, steering and suspension, and 19-inch IPL aluminum-alloy wheels. The convertible is a three-piece retractable hardtop. The interior is done in a sport-style IPL interior treatment, with red leather throughout.
The limited IPL G Coupe is set to go on sale in the U.S. sometime this December.
