2011 Ford F-150 EcoBoost burnout

It's rare that we find a pickup truck that pushes our enthusiast buttons, but today, we have exactly that. Our Executive Editor Marty Padgett is at the Ford F-150 EcoBoost launch today, and he captured this video of the truck proving that while it may be a V-6, it packs more punch than the frumpy two-pots-short mills of yesteryear. Abundant smoke and appropriate screeching...but a distinct lack of V-8 growl.

Instead, you get more of a "whoosh." That's a small price to pay for twin-turbo hoonage, though, and the 2011 F-150 appears to have plenty of that in stock trim. Once the tuners get ahold of the ECU it should be even more interesting.
