According to trusted sources, Lamborghini's planning a September surprise. Or, more precisely, a pair of September surprises. And while we don't know a whole lot about what to expect, we do know a 10-cylinder engine figures rather prominetly into at least one of the equations, based on the teaser photographs emanating from the publicity maestri in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
Most bets are on a production version of the Estoque four-door sedan, given the market segment Lambo plays in is starting to see a raft of such autos. That and the Estoque concept from last year's auto show season are fueling considerable speculation. The other educated guess is toward a replacement for Gallardo, given that model has been around for seven years and has had the requisite number of iterations issued.
Either way, we'll know for sure next week, as Lamborghini has plans to airlift an Alitalia business-class-load of its U.S. dealers to a meeting at which the new models will be revealed next Thursday (9/23/2010). This, presumably ahead of the upcoming Paris Auto Show, where the High Gear Media team will be reporting live as each development emerges.
