If hot Vegas action featuring curvaceous bodies, vigorous competition, and a chance to ride off a winner appeals to you, a trip to the Mandalay Bay in late September may be in order. No, not for gambling and strippers, although that's certainly to be found there too.Iinstead, go for the third Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Collector Car Auction at the Mandalay Bay. There, seven exotic cars—including a 2008 Bugatti Veyron and a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster--will cross the auction block on Saturday, Sept. 25.
A 2008 Bugatti Veyron (Lot #658) is number 80 out of 300 produced and was the fastest production car in the world in 2008. With only 11,800 original miles on it, the Bugatti makes 1,001 horsepower and 922 pound-feet of torque. It also features carbon-ceramic brakes and four turbochargers. With a top speed of 253 mph and a zero to 60 of 2.47 seconds, if it's ultimate speed you're after, you just found it, pal.
The SLR McLaren Roadster convertible (above, Lot #658.1) has a Crystal Antimony Grey exterior and a Silver Arrow Red leather interior. The Benz features a 5.5-liter eight-cylinder engine with a black carbon trim package. The McLaren has less than 600 miles on it.

Both V-12 and V-8-powered Ferraris will be available. A 2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello (Lot #641.1) featuring a 5.5-liter, 485-horsepower V-12 mated to a six-speed manual transmission will be offered. Subdued in its appearance with a black exterior and tan interior, this 16,000-mile Ferrari stands out because of it. The 550 comes complete with service history and books.
