Hello readers,

I'd like to introduce myself as the new editor of Mustang Blog, Camaro Blog, and Challenger Blog. I come here after helming High Gear Media's Family Car Guide, All Pickup Trucks, and Ford Reports Web sites. Before I joined High Gear Media as a freelance contributor, I worked at Consumer Guide Automotive in suburban Chicago as an associate editor. Now, I freelance for HGM, Examiner.com, ChicagoNow.com, and other outlets.

I live in Chicago, and I will be bringing you muscle car news and reviews, from both the OEMs and the aftermarket. This site will continue to focus on Dodge's Challenger and all things Challenger-related, and the other sites will continue to focus on Camaros and Mustangs.

In short, not much will change around here, just the byline on most of the articles. I welcome all questions and comments, and look forward to bringing you what's new on a daily basis.

  1. I was wondering if someone could offer some advice. I have a 2009 Challenger R/T. I like everything about the car except for the wheels and tires. I want the old-school look of the late 60's and early 70's. I want to go with the old Cragar type rims and wide tires. Any suggestions? What's the widest tire I can go with?

    Bad stuff?

  2. You can get pretty wide tires on without modifying the wheel well. I know you can get 300s on the stock wheels, but you may be able to go wider with new wheel.s

  3. John, have a look at the Heritage wheels that are coming on the R/T Classics. They are 20" wheels and look like the Cragars.
