Video: Part 1 Of Gymkhana THREE Revealed

I like Ken Block. I like that he has used most of his earnings from pioneering DC Shoe Co. to fund his dream of being a rally driver. I love his Gymkhana series. I like that he drives a hopped up Fiesta.

I am going to go out on a limb, and say that I also dig The Cool Kids. They haven't changed the face of hip-hop at all, but they have produced a handful of tracks I've enjoyed nodding my head to.

However, in Gymkhana THREE, Part 1, the two mix as well as bleu cheese and chocolate syrup. Take a look for yourself:

Gymkhana just wasn't meant to be a music video. It's obvious what is happening here. Someone saw an opportunity to make money here, and took the advertising part introduced in Gymkhana 2 up to the next level. What we are left with is a collection of incredible slow motion shots mixed in with a bunch of hip hop stupidity.

So, if you are a real driver and rally fan, ignore part one of Gymkhana THREE. Or, just watch it on mute. You'll get to see Block's fantastic Fiesta in its studio-shot glory, and you won't get annoyed to death by the horrid Cool Kids track. Maybe part two, if there even is one, will go back to the roots of the other Gymkhana videos where Block stuns everyone by power sliding around impossible obstacles. If it does, that will be worth watching.
