Jenson Button Gets His Mercedes C63 AMG DR 520 Uber Wagon

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG DR 520

Being the reigning Formula 1 World Champion has its perks. Like getting your hands on a one-of-twenty limited edition 520-wheel-horsepower Mercedes uber wagon, for example.

Jenson Button today took delivery of his special edition Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG DR 520 Estate. The special-edition car, available only through the Specialist Products Division of Mercedes-Benz World, is guaranteed to produce 520 horsepower at the wheels and can hit 62 mph in 4.1 seconds. Top speed is electornically limited at 187 mph.

The kit is an upgrade to the standard C63 AMG and is available on both sedan and wagon models. The DR 520 adds the AMG Performance Pack Plus to the C63 AMG, which includes upgraded brakes with red calipers, forged pistons, upgraded connecting rods, a revised crankshaft, and an AMG carbon fiber rear spoiler (only on the sedan).

Matte black or white wraps give a unique finish, and Titanium color alloy wheels, grille and badging complete the "stealth" look. Interior upgrades include leather and Alcantara seating, dash and door panels with red or white contrast stitching, and a Nappa leather/Alcantara steering wheel.

The price of this much Mercedes madness? £62,430 for the sedan and £63,680 for the wagon. That's £9,995 over the price of the standard C63 AMG. We'd translate the prices into U.S. dollars, but that would just be mean--it's only available in the U.K.

  1. Thanks "johnbips". What a completely random--and in no way relevant comment!
...That wagon does rock. I wish to God we'd get the good stuff over here.
