2010 Ferrari 458 Italia crash

2010 Ferrari 458 Italia crash

Warning--this is not a joke. Less than a week after reporting about the ninth wrecked 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia (the first on U.S. soil), comes news of yet another damaged example, this time in the Czech Republic. While the damage on this latest car is not as severe as previous incidents, it is still the tenth 458 Italia to suffer a mishap in the past nine months--and remember that deliveries of the gorgeous supercar still number in the low hundreds.

The car had less than 200 miles on the odometer when the accident occurred and had been in its owner’s possession for just six hours. Allegedly, the owner ran it into a ditch while trying to overtake another ‘slower moving’ vehicle. No doubt speed was a factor in the resulting crash.

If only drivers of exotic supercars were forced to undergo special driver training when they purchase their vehicle in order to guarantee they at least have the ability to control their pride and joy.

At least the damage doesn’t look too severe and the car salvageable. Sadly, the same can’t be said for previous examples. Follow the jump below to see more images, including details of the past nine damaged 458 Italias.
