For those of you who have been following this blog since its inception back in 2005, you may have noticed I am no longer posting news updates. The truth of the matter is I am handing off my writing duties to another writer so I can spend more time with my family and work on other website projects. As of today, I'm signing off from MustangBlog and my other two sites in the High Gear Media network, CamaroBlog and ChallengerBlog.

It has been a great ride for me and I have enjoyed my time writing about Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers over the past five years.  I will not be completely gone from the Mustang world but I will be slowing down a bit with updates over on my other site MustangHeaven as well.

I would like to give a big thank you to everybody here at High Gear Media for the opportunity and all my loyal readers over the years.  See you down the road--and please give a warm welcome to our new muscle-car writer here at High Gear Media, Tim Healey.--Matt Rigney

Ed.'s note: We at High Gear Media thank Matt for lots of great stories and a great opportunity. In the next two weeks, we'll be bringing you up to speed with Tim Healey, here and over at CamaroBlog and ChallengerBlog--with some very special features coming up from behind the wheel. Stay tuned.

  1. Though I've only posted few enough times to probably be counted on one hand I've been reading the site for years, and hit it four or five times a day to check for updates or to re-read older posts. I hate to see you go, but I can completely appreciate your reasons. Do good things.

    Bad stuff?

  2. A loss to the Mustang community...I've enjoyed the articles and as R posted...I've only posted a few. Enjoy the time with the family, by far the top priority.
