This year marks the 44th anniversary of the Chevrolet Camaro and the popular muscle car is still one of the most loved vehicles in the world. Originally created by Chevrolet in 1966 to compete against the Ford Mustang, American consumers were quick to embrace the car. Chevrolet just launched the 5th generation Camaro earlier this year and has received solid reviews once again.Over the last 40 years the Camaro has also become quite the regular actor in Hollywood movies and TV shows accumulating over 1,000 appearances with credits in:
- Airplane II: The Sequel (1982)
- Charlie's Angels (1976-1981)
- Chips (1977-1983)
- Christine (1983)
- Goodfellas (1990)
- Hawaii Five-O (1968-1980)
- Mission: Impossible (1966-1973)
- Murder, She Wrote (1984-1996)
- Pretty Woman (1990)
- St. Elmo's Fire (1985)
- The Graduate (1967)
- The Heavenly Kid (1985)
- And many more...
Much like professional sport fans, owners of muscle cars such as the Chevrolet Camaro are loyal customers even with the high gas and car insurance costs compared to other models. However, with a Hollywood resume like this some could argue it's a small price to pay for having a celebrity in your driveway.
