This past weekend's X Games featured a taste of what Europeans have been enjoying for decades: Rallycross. But that was just the hors d'ouevre. Three more full weekends of Rallycross will be coming this season, all of them at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

The events are part of the RallyCar (nee Rally America) U.S. Rallycross Championship. Featuring wheel-to-wheel rally car action in a three-heat elimination format, the events offer the best of rally action in a spectator-friendly format. Not to mention the ridiculous fun it must be to actually participate.

The first event is August 28-29, followed by another October 2-3 and the final event November 6-7. RallyCar's most famous drivers, including Travis Pastrana, Ken Block, and Dave Mirra will be there to test their mettle in what could be the most exciting new form of motorsports to hit America in the past decade.

We've been to New Jersey Motorsports Park, so we can vouch for the facility--it's well-maintained, expertly run, and filled with friendly staff.
