Team O'Neil and Ford Racing team up for the Fiesta Rally Experience
We've finally found a good use for those Fiesta Movement vehicles: 43 of them will be supplied to the Team O'Neil Rally School in New Hampshire to be used as student/instructional cars. Brilliant!
The combo of Ford Racing and Team O'Neil Driving School yields the Ford Racing Fiesta Rally Experience. Ford says this is the only manufacturer-backed rally experience in North America, and offers those who would be rally drivers the chance to learn the craft in the production version of the car that will be Ford's global rally car next year.
Ken Block is probably the most famous of Fiesta drivers (yes, we're counting all those social movers and shakers from the Movement), and though the rally school Fiestas won't be as wild and woolly as his pro-race vehicle(or the Gymkhana 3 Fiesta, for that matter), they will certainly be excellent teaching tools. How do we know? We've spent some time in the navigator's seat of a 1991 (ish) Honda Civic rally car, and that's a fantastic learner's car, too. The Fiesta, if anything, should be better.
