The latest painting to come from renowned automotive artist Michael Irvine takes us back to a summer day in 1969 when a Grabber
Green Boss Mustang rolled off the assembly line at Kar Kraft's Brighton Michigan plant. Michael's newest print is titled 'Boss Building' and as the name refers its about the Boss 429 Mustang
Ford Motor Company had built back in 1969. As it would be the Boss 429 Mustang was not built at a Ford Motor Company plant but rather Kar Kraft's Brighton Michigan plant because the engine bay had to be made larger to accommodate the big 429 engine.
Michael's inspiration for the painting came one day while he was flipping through a copy of "Mustang Magazine" and he came upon a double page spread aerial photo of Kar Kraft's Brighton Michigan Plant back in 1969. From there Micheal contacted the owner of the photo, Randy Hernandez who's father actually worked at the plant back in 1969. Turns out Randy had a whole collection of Boss 429 photos as they came off the assembly line. So Michael bought the entire collection of photos and the rest is history as they say.
The prints are limited edition reproductions that are individually signed and numbered by Michael Irvine. They are also embossed with Michael's Studio Seal and come with a certificate of authenticity. Prints start at $115.
