Fox-Body Mustangs have a special place in my heart as I have owned five of them and anytime I come across a newsworthy story you better believe something will get written about it. This happens to be the case as I wandered across a fox-body owner who custom fitted a Shelby GT500 supercharger to his 5.0-liter 302 engine. The supercharger sits atop the 5.0 like it was made for it but upon closer inspection you will notice a host of custom fabrication work that makes this combo work. The supercharger cranks out a modest seven pounds of boost dialed down for obvious reasons but the Mustang engine runs and sounds smooth. The project is not completely finished as some piping was thrown on to get the engine started but for now its alive and kicking.
