New Season of Top Gear Starts Soon!

Season 15 of Top Gear starts June 27 on BBC2. For the rest of us, it starts (downloading) shortly after on finalgear.com. Top Gear just released a trailer for the new series today:

Apparently the guys have made motor homes out of normal run-of-the-mill cars. I sense something as hilarious as the first amphibious car challenge is bound to happen. The most exciting news comes from an update posted by their script editor, Richard Porter, yesterday. According to Porter they listened to the rants and critiques posted on the website by various viewers, and took what they said into consideration while creating season 15. "...don’t expect earnest chats about double wishbone suspension and a man in a woolly pulley taking 20 minutes of your time to explain how a camshaft works," Porter wrote. "But with more of a run-up than we had for series 14, I’d like to think we’ve put more thought into this one, daftness and all."

Make room on your hard drives for this one folks.

  2. Woot! I never watched the US version of this, but love the UK Top Gear show. I just wish there was a legal way to watch it here in the US (iTunes anyone?)

  3. I know that places like the bay area can do with some kind of serious amphibious car... imagine people zooming out across the bay to get to work?

  6. Why do these guys get so much play on the Web when their site's a flop? Why do we care?
