2010 Porsche 911 Turbo S

 It’s nice to see a comparison video being posted and more is even better. Suprisingly, there are two that come from opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean which compare the Audi R8 5.2 V-10 and Porsche 911 Turbo.

The first is a video from Motor Trend which gives off the aroma of a Top Gear segment. The cars being compared are three coupes: the Audi R8 V-10, the Porsche 911 and the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG. It starts off in Las Vegas, but quickly moves to a mountain road that the California Highway Patrol closed off so they could race around. There is not a lot of talk going on, but plenty of eye-candy and exhaust sounds to make any car enthusiast jealous.

The second comes from Fifth Gear from the U.K. There is no Mercedes Benz SLS to pit against the other German cars, but for good reason. The Audi and 911 Turbos are both convertibles. In typical Fifth Gear fashion, the cars are tested for straight line performance which this time includes the 0-100-0 test which checks out acceleration and braking. Finally they compare the two on the track, which includes some amazing four-wheel drift action from the Audi R-8 5.2L V-10 Spyder.

No matter what alliances a person might have to either Audi or Porsche, both videos are amazingly entertaining.
