Ever try and follow Google Maps directions while looking for your exit, or try to unfold a map on the interstate?

It's a dangerous hassle, and Ford is alleviating those painful distractions by now offering “Send to SYNC” capability for free.

Where ever a customer has connectivity to the Internet, they can select a location on Google Maps, and then select on option to have it sent to their Ford, Lincoln, or Mercury vehicle.

Once in their vehicle the customer then confirms the destination. The Ford Service Delivery Network’s cloud-based architecture computes the best route based on distance and current traffic information, giving turn by turn directions.

“Send to SYNC” is slated to launch later this month, with the feature launching on MapQuest later this year.
