Supra Powered Ford Mustang
Its unbelievable what some folks will drop in their Mustangs these and we have come across another example as Jeff Wilson of Jaw's Gear and Axle has an eight-second quarter mile Ford Mustang but the powerplant achieving those numbers is not what you would expect. Jeff decided to forgo a big displacement Ford Mustang engine for a
Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE turbocharged inline-six motor. The motor is a rock solid bullet proof engine that handles high horsepower with ease and this is just another story to prove it.
The Ford Mustang powered by the Supra motor boasted a best time of 8.962 @ 159.37 during the SCE Summer Nationals at Famoso Raceway.
The project was made possible with parts supplied by Titan Motorsports, fabrication skills from Enterprise Motorsport's, engine building from Dave's Engine's and technical knowledge from Black Sheep Racing's John Reed. Together these folks put together one bad ass Mustang that uses an unconventional powerplant but still gets the job done.
