Mustang sales numbers for the month of April are in and to no surprise they are mediocre at best. With 2010 Mustang production completed and 2011 Mustang production kicking into high gear these type of numbers were expected. Next month we should see and uptick in sales as 2011 Mustangs are delivered to dealerships and their waiting owners. Most if not all 2011 Mustangs produced this month are already spoken for as
Ford has begun filling orders that were placed back in January. Check out the complete breakdown of April sales below.
Sales of the Ford Mustang for April of 2010 were 5,145 compared to 7,699 from April of 2009 showing a 33.2% decrease in sales from the previous year. Year to date Mustang sales are 20,836 compared to 17,344 for 2009, which is a 20.1% increase.
Month to Month sales decreased as March 2010 sales were 5,829 compared to April 2010 sales of 5,145 which is a 12% decrease.
Taking a look at the competition the Chevrolet Camaro sold 7,830 while the Dodge Challenger sold 3,713.
