The new movie 'Kick-Ass' in theaters now features a custom one-of-a-kind ride dubbed the 'Red Mist' Mustang developed and built by Galpin Auto Sports.  The 'Red Mist' Mustang was built specifically for the superhero 'Red Mist' played by Christopher Mintz-Plasse who you probably know better as McLovin from the movie SuperBad.

The 'Red Mist' Mustang came to fruition as GAS's Manager Steve Carpenter hooked up with 'Kick-Ass' Director Matthew Vaughn at the end of 2008 as his team was scoping out GAS.  Carpenter knew his team could create a vehicle worthy of the big screen so he jumped at the chance to build the custom Mustang.

The 'Red Mist' Mustang features a host of custom upgrades including a one-off body kit developed by Rich Evans Design, a 550-horsepower 4.6-liter V-8 engine, custom made 20-inch wheels, Lambo-style scissor doors, two-tone leather seats, red LED interior mood lighting, front and rear cameras and a Navigation system.  As an added touch GAS included two nitrous oxide tanks with purge capabilities to provide the smoke-filled Red Mist.  GAS's team used a 2008 Mustang GT as a starting point for this one-off movie Mustang.

To get a better understanding of what the vehicle looks like I have posted a video and photos below.  The video is a short clip from the movie 'Kick-Ass'.

  1. That is one badass car! I heard Christopher Mintz-Plasse say on an interview, that that car cost like $200,000! I also read that it's a one-of-a-kind car, I believe it, dude. Feel kinda sorry for Christopher, he said he had to learn how to drive a stickshift to drive it, and he was worried he'd wreck it, I would be too. Damn, I'd be hypervintialting!!!
