Shelby American has announced production is gearing up for the 2011 Shelby GT350 as the first shipment of 2011 Mustang GT's  is headed to Shelby's Las Vegas facility for transformation into Shelby GT350's and Super Snake models.

"We've retooled our production lines in Las Vegas to focus on the new GT350 and the Super Snake, beefed up our Shelby Performance Parts business and looked for ways to integrate all the units in a more cohesive way," stated Mr. Luft who has been president of Shelby Licensing but will take on an even more important role of leveraging Shelby's companies to run smoother as one big unit.

The 2011 Shelby GT350 was unveiled in grand style at the 39th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector car show back in January to rave reviews but this car will not be built by Ford, rather its a post-title package from Shelby American.  The new Shelby GT350 will only be available in traditional white with Shelby Guardsman blue stripes while offering buyers 500 horsepower from its Ford Racing supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 motor.  These new Shelby GT350 won't be for everyone as the MSRP for the post-title package is $33,995 not including the 2011 Mustang GT.
