If it were up to us, Thursday would be called Ironyday. Hell, even the word "Thursday" is ironic: it's named for Thor, that guy who was always carrying around a hammer, like he was working on some very important, he-man, woman-hating project. But everyone knows that Thursday is a total goof-off day. Yeah, we may all look like we're getting it done, but we are totally faking it. That's closer to irony than Alanis ever got.

More irony: at left, you'll see Jesse James and his all-black, fully modded-out Chevrolet Silverado. (Not that we'd expect anything less from a fully tatted-out professional modder.) Looks like the guy really digs dark colors, right? And yet, sometimes we wonder how JJ really feels about the color black. Like, say, when we see the other photo at left.

Ouch.

Now just for the record, we like Jesse James -- even if he has a taste of/for skanky, famewhorish babes now and then. And we're 99% certain that the photo of JJ-cum-SS was done on the spur of the moment, just for fun. (Insofar as pretending to be part of an army that ruthlessly exterminated millions of men, women, and children can be "fun".) Bottom line: we don't think the guy really harbors any abiding love for David Duke and his white supremacist bunkbuddies.

Still, both shots rolled across our desk at about the same time, so we felt obligated to link them together somehow. If you've got a better narrative that'll make that happen, do drop us a line.
