Over on
Camaro5 a forum member was lucky enough to spot a Camaro
convertible test mule out in the wild with the top down. This is the first time we have seen a Camaro convertible with the top down unless you count the concept convertible photos General Motors released a few years back. These photos should give hopeful buyers a better understanding of what a production version will look like with the top down. Camaro
convertibles are starting to pop up all around Michigan as production is getting closer even though it's still a year or so away. Expect to see a myriad of spy photos this year leading up to the unveiling of the Camaro convertible.
For a little history lesson, we got the official confirmation from GM the Camaro convertible would go into production back in August of 2009 but what year model is still a mystery. We have also learned the convertible contract to produce the Camaro rag top went to Magna out of Aurora, Ontario with a plan to build 20,000 units for the first year.
