Chrysler has released Dodge Challenger sales numbers for the month of February showing a healthy increase from the previous month but an overall 35 percent decrease from the previous year.  What does this mean, well we don't really know because February was hampered by several winter storms across much of the country thus leading to less than favorable conditions for selling vehicles.  February is typically a bad month for sales anyway and the harsh winter did not help the cause.  Although sales did edge up quite a bit from January which was a better month weather wise.  Before me make any more judgments lets wait and see what the month of March brings us numbers wise to get a better assessment of what Challenger sales will be going forward.  Check below for a complete rundown on the numbers.

Sales of the Dodge Challenger for February of 2010 were 2,145 compared to 3,283 from February of 2009 showing a 35% decrease in sales from the previous year. Year to date Challenger sales are 3,828 compared to 6,040 for 2009, which is a 37% decrease.

Month to Month sales increased by a healthy margin as January 2010 Challenger sales were 1,683 compared to February 2010 sales of 2,145 which is a 27% increase from the previous month.

Checking out the competition, Camaro sales were 6,482 while the Ford Mustang sold 5,115 in January.

For previous months of Challenger sales check out January 2010, December 2009, November 2009, October 2009, September 2009, August 2009, July 2009, June 2009, May 2009, April 2009 and February 2008 -  February 2009.

  1. Challenger cost way to much! Go with the Camaro or Mustang

  2. High cost and low sales will make it a rare car in the future with increased value in 20 years or more .

  3. I agree with Hemi HP on this one. I was recently offered more for my R/T than I paid for it new. The exclusiveness will only add value in the future. Kip, go buy the Camaro and good luck with the build quality in a few years. The money you save buying the Chevy will help you afford mullet maintenance I'm sure.

  5. If Chrysler could deliver cars to dealerships, they might sell some more. I've been waiting for 6 MONTHS for one I ordered. If I was not a Mopar man, I would look for something else.

Good answer But I have a Challenger bought it in 09 nothing but problems it's a Slug Handles like it's on ski's in the corners these are not collector cars Maybe in 25 years and 50000 or more of them end up in the yard!! Ford and Chevy don't even want them on trade they say their are to many out there right now that can't get sold
and what is a Mullet something from your child hood days or something?
