Over the years StangNet has built several jaw dropping project cars including the supercharged 2001 Bullitt #005 and most recently the Glassback Shelby GT500 but their latest project dubbed 'Built to Cruise' will take it to a whole new level. The newest project car will be a 1989 LX 5.0 Mustang notchback that will receive a 2011 Mustang 5.0-liter V-8 motor. StangNet has partnered with
Ford Racing, Classic Design Concepts, Griggs, Kicker, American Muscle and others to make this project become a reality. From the beginning StangNet will document the entire build process most importantly the 2011 5.0-liter engine swap as they're sure to be many Mustang fans drooling over doing the same thing to their fox-body Mustangs.
Some of the parts making there way on the 'Built to Cruise' Project car include a Ford Racing Control Pak, Griggs K-member and suspension components, TKO500 transmission, new Ford Racing 3.73 rear end, 5-lub conversion, 5-lug '03 Cobra wheels (painted), new 'Suede' paint job, custom stripe package, TMI interior upgrade with interior and exterior refresh and a Kicker audio system.
You can follow the build process over at StangNet.com or via twitter under @StangNet.
