Roush Performance is introducing a new line of Roush Vinyl Stripes for owners of 2005-2011 Ford Mustangs with an emphasis on custom.  Owners will now have the opportunity to quickly create or choose between a wide variety of stripe configurations for their S197 Mustangs.  Stripe kits will consist of over-the-top, side and hood stripes with more than 500 different Roush configurations available to Mustang owners.  Customers will also have the chance to create one-of-a-kind stripe kits by picking their own color and style combinations to further set their Mustang apart from the crowd.

As of now Roush has two different sets, one for 2005-09 Mustangs and another for 2010 and newer Mustangs.  There are eight colors available including Matte Black, White, Competition Gray, Dark Gray, Yellow, Red, Rally Blue and Sapphire Blue.  Pricing has not been set in stone but is believed to be around $220 for a complete coupe kit and convertibles will run $150.  Side stripes by themselves should add an additional $70-$90 while hood/side stripes combo will add $150-$160 depending on the overall design.

The Ford Mustang is a platform that people love to customize, but many of the ways to accomplish that can get quite expensive and time-consuming. ROUSH® Performance has now made available a variety of vinyl stripe options for 2005 to 2011 Mustangs that can quickly and inexpensively turn a “one of many” Mustang into a “one-of-a-kind” trick pony.

By mixing-and-matching among different top, side, hood and roof stripes, there are more than 500 different ROUSH® configurations available. Customers are able to choose complete pre-designed sets or create their own by picking among the different color and style combinations.

“There have been more than nine million Mustangs sold since the introduction and it’s getting harder and harder to find any two that look alike because so many owners take great pride in customizing their vehicle,” said Jack Roush. “I think the Mustang is an amazing platform to work on, and adding vinyl stripes, such as those from ROUSH®, are a quick and fairly inexpensive way to make a bold statement with your car.”

ROUSH® stripes will be available to fit either the 2005-2009 model years, or the 2010 and newer Mustangs which have the Ford power bulge in the hood. There are eight colors available, including Matte Black, White, Competition Gray, Dark Gray, Yellow, Red, Rally Blue and Sapphire Blue.

Anticipated retail pricing for a complete kit for a coupe (which includes a roof stripe) is $220; kits for the convertible (without the roof stripe) will run $150. Side stripes will retail between $70-90 and hood/side stripes will retail for $150-160 depending on the design.

The top stripe kits are available in a solid stripe, or double or triple stripe designs. Available soon will be a design where the stripe extends towards the sides and over the upper fenders of the Mustang. The side stripes feature a number of contemporary designs, some of which incorporate the ROUSH® logo.

Like those used on the ROUSH® Mustang builds, these vinyl components are cut from a high-performance graphic film which offers superior resistance to ultraviolet rays and has strong adhesion qualities. All are designed and made in the United States in ROUSH®’s state-of-the-art graphic studios.

For those DIY’ers, ROUSH® offers an optional stripe installation kit which contains the vinyl application fluid and squeegees; these are the same tools ROUSH® technicians use on the production floor (part number 401906, suggested retail $20.15).
