How the Audi Q5 Compares To Other Luxury SUVs

Luxury SUVs are taking over the roads and the Audi Q5 is definitely bringing in some serious heat. The Q5 is known to be a step lower in size than the Audi Q7, which is another luxury crossover within its class. Those who are looking for an SUV that can haul a decent amount of people and handle a variety of tasks and weather conditions but dont quite need the size of a Q7 should look to the Q5.

Luxury sedans these days have taken a backseat, and the luxury SUV or crossover has definitely taken over. This particular Audi was first introduced to the market at the Beijing Auto Show in 2008.  Since then, we have seen dramatic growth and the overall style and design of this Audi is spectacular. The Audi Q7 might be too big for some people, but the Audi Q5 is a 5 passenger vessel that will take you where you need to go comfortable. There is a very large similarity between the Audi A5 luxury sedan and the Q5.  The fact is these two vehicles share almost the same wheelbase.  You wall also receive the same all wheel drive system that the A4 comes standard with as well as feeling like you are driving around in a sedan rather than an actually smaller set SUV.  The navigation system that comes included with the 2009-10 models uses an updated and brand new Multi Media Interface that cannot be matched by many other SUVs in the same class.

The only thing missing with the Q5 is the fact that you do not get the turbo charged engine like the A4.  In fact, you will not even see the great city and highway gas mileage that the A4 is known for. However, there is a hybrid foreseen in the future for the Audi Q5.  The original announcement for the Hybrid Q5 was announced last year, but due to complications the plan was suspended.  Recently, statements have been made that the plans have been set in place and production is moving along.  The Japanese market will be the first to see the hybrid version of the Q5.

The Audi Q5 drives and handles like a sedan, yet fits into a category that is set aside for larger SUVs and crossovers.  This vehicle is moderately priced at just under $40,000 and can be located among a variety of local and online dealers.  Those looking for a car that gives up plenty of space and room for people, groceries or larger items will enjoy all of the aspects that are offered from driving the Audi Q5.

    I'm not usually a big fan of SUVs, but this one looks pretty sweet.
