The order guide for the 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 leaked out last week, so we already know most of the specs that are due to be unveiled via webcast on Monday, but we've managed to get our hands on the official teaser video for the car, which reveals the car in action.

It also shows stills of the car from most angles, giving a good idea of what to expect on Monday. The cosmetic differences from the 2010 Shelby GT500 are minimal, though the narrower stripes across the hood, roof and trunk plus the Gurney flap spoiler do make for a different look. New wheels, slightly redesigned front and rear clips, and some tweaks to the SVT package are about all that's new--until you pop the hood, that is.

The 2011 Shelby GT500 gets a new all-aluminum version of the iron-block 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 in the current vehicle, so expect the new car to drop some weight off the nose, which we expect will help improve handling while maintaining power output. Catch the full leaked order guide here, and watch the official teaser vid below as we prepare to bring you the full info on Monday afternoon.

  3. Can't wait! These are the perfect changes for 2011. The aluminum block to save weight, the different gearing for quicker 0-60 sprints, standard HID headlights and now the 19" wheels for convertibles. The Mustang will officially have the best line-up in history now with the new/revised motors across the board.

  4. Have to say not really a Ford-man but this has got to be the absolute best Mustang edition, love everything about this car.
It's also more cohesively styled than heavy handed looking GT350 with it's covered side-rear window ( emulating '65-'68 car but doesn't really work ).
