Back in November we learned the newly formed Petty's Garage behind the legacy of Richard Petty and his 61-year-old company Petty Enterprises would begin producing performance automobiles.  The first car from the historic garage was a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 painted in legendary Petty Blue with a 426 Hemi by Arrington engines pumping out 585 horsepower.  This car was recently auctioned off at the 2010 Barrett-Jackson collector car auction where it brought $130,000 with proceeds from the auction benefiting the Petty Family Foundation and the charities it supports which include the Victory Junction Gang and Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Check out our previous post for more on this one-of-a-kind 2009 Dodge Challenger.
