Sang Yup Lee, the man behind the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro design has resigned from General Motors after a 10-year career to take a job as Chief Designer of Exterior at the Volkswagen/Audi Advanced studio in California.  He will start his new job sometime in January of 2010 with a role to inspire the newly merged Volkswagen and Audi design staff at the Santa Monica studio.

Lee is considered by most Camaro enthusiasts as the man who resurrected the Camaro as it was his original concept designs that paved the way for the model we see today.  While at GM Lee was also credited with the exterior design of the 50th Anniversary Stingray concept and the 2004 Buick Velite concept.  He will be missed but his legend will live on through the current Camaro platform.
