I gotta confess that when I first saw the initial press release of the Porsche Boxster Spyder, I thought to myself: "Gimmick". When you look at the stock photos it all looked very gimmicky and insincere to Porsche's heritage. However, spending the afternoon at the LA Auto Show for the debut of the Boxster Spyder and seeing the details up close you just sorta stand back and say: "Wow!"

The Boxster Spyder is truly a unique iteration of the Porsche Boxster and a testament to Porsche's dedication to the pursuit of a pure driving experience.

The Boxster Spyder goes by the anthem of "Light and Open, Powerful and Efficient" with the wind and its 3.4 liter engine as the back up music accompaniment.

But, the main stickler for most about the Porsche Boxster Spyder is going to be the bizarre rag top, which, can only be best described as a tent or a hammock.
