It happens every time Porsche Launches a new model.  It happened this time when the Porsche Panamera was released.  You know what Im talking about; its all of the speculation that darts back and forth in the blogosphere about some new model that's also slated to come out.  It just simply irritates me.  It gets so bad that you dont know whats a real rumor or just baseless speculation.  What makes things worst is that traditional automototive magazines get "IN" on it. 

The "New Porsche 914"!  What the heck? I thought the Porsche Boxster was the new 914? You know, the entry level Porsche for everyone to love.  (lovingly spun by Motor Trend)

The new "Porsche 356",  Four cylnder VW/Porsche collaboration.  Seriously, yet another convertible?  Come On!  (ridiculously blown out of context by Car Magazine)

The New "Porsche 928".  The GT in Porsches stable.  What? Really?  I thought that the Porsche 928 was terrible and thats why Porsche canned it?  Why bring it back?  (Slow news day rendition by Car and Driver)

You folks just need to simply cut it out!  Please stop the baseless rumors.  It pollutes the news stream.  Get a quote from someone at Porsche to at least say: "No Comment". 

Next thing you know, people will be blogging about rumors of a Porsche 4 door super car that will certainly enrage the Porsche Purist.  Oh, wait - that really happened!
