So you like the sound of an Italian V-8, the wind in your hair and passionate styling? Well, Maserati has your fix, and these videos of the new 2011 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible--GranCabrio to the rest of the world--show it off to great effect.

We don't generally need a reason to watch videos of Maseratis, especially convertibles, but if you do, here are a few: the first video below shows off the car in its native environment, namely sunny, winding roads; the second gives a spine-tingling example of its throaty roar, heard all the better with the top down.

In these days of do-everything supercars, it's nice to see a car content to do what it does well, and make no excuses for what it can't. No, you're not going to fit four golf bags in the GranTurismo Convertible. And you're not going to pack a week's worth of luggage into it, either. But when two people, or sometimes four, need to get somewhere far away in a short time with style and comfort, you'd be hard pressed to find a better conveyance.

The GranTurismo Convertible gets a 4.7-liter Ferrari-sourced V-8 engine rated at 433 horsepower, good for a 0-60 mph time of 5.3 seconds and capable of 176 smooth-as-silk miles per hour.
