Over on Camar05 they have posted up some interesting figures on the 2010 Camaro production thus far.  The figures include more specifically a breakdown of what colors, models, packages and transmissions have been produced so far giving us an inside look at what is more or less popular with buyers.  One of the breakdowns I find most interesting is the comparison of the V-6 to V-8 sales.  Typically V-6 sales of any sports car that offers both engine types usually has significantly more sales for the V-6 model but in the 2010 Camaros case its just the opposite as the V-8 SS model has accounted for an astounding 65% of the sales so far compared to just 35% for the V-6 models.  Looks like most Camaro buyers are throwing caution to the wind as they are opting for the power of the V-8 no matter what the cost.

- Silver Ice Metallic (6,156 units) — 11.82%
- Inferno Orange Metallic (6,289 units) — 12.08%
- Black (12,494 units) — 23.99%

Models
- 2SS (30,278 units) — 58.00%
- 1SS ( 3,299 units) — 6.32%
- 2LT (10,424 units) — 19.97%

RS Package
- RS (36,393 units) — 69.71%

    I have a 2010 RS in black with the inferno orange stipes and the black & inferno orange interior. I have only seen one other like. I would like to find out how many of this combination were produced. Is ther a way to find out?

    I would like to know if there is a web site that will break down the years total by color and all options? I own the ABM 2ss and would like to know how many others are the same optioned out as mine. Thank for any reply Robert

    Mr. Rigney, It is now 3/26/2011 and I was wondering if you could dig up and post the final 2010 year Camaro color & model sales figures like in this article. It would be great information for all the camaro owners, and no-one can seem to find the info.
