We don't quite know what to do with Ian Ziering. On the one hand, he's a car enthusiast, and he's got a touch of Softcore Green Tech Nerd about him -- both laudable traits in our book. Also, he's kept his shiznit together since the original 90120 was canned in 2000; he hasn't gone crazy, or gotten fat, or super skinny, or held up a liquor store or whatever. Sure, any of those would've been more entertaining, but there's something to be said for being a nice, normal guy.

On the other hand, we're not entirely sure Ziering's right for this blog because we're not entirely sure he's a celebrity. But then, we covered Emmy Rossum, so, you know, we're not that discriminating.

Anyway, here's a clip of maybe-celeb/maybe-non-celeb Ziering on a test drive in a Chevy Equinox Fuel Cell EV. And by "test drive" we mean "loop around the parking lot". Apparently, the initiation ritual for Chevy's Project Driveway isn't as rigorous as we've been told. [YouTube via JV]

    Hey Richard,
    My test drive is a MONTH long experience, not just a spin around the parking lot. Also, fyi, I'm trying to sell a reality show called, "My Quest for the Power Station". An attempt to bridge the gap between today's vehicles, and tomorrows fuels, as well as highlight the obstacles that exist from big businesses suppressing the progress to maintain their own greedy interests(hello Exxon). And I know it would be more interesting if I had gone crazy, of knocked over a bank, but that's not me. I prefer to spend my celebrity "capitol" by aggrandizing things other than myself, whatever I need comes back 10 fold. I'm gonna shoot more vids with my Flip camera later in the month then post them on my FB page so check back. And one more thing, DEVO called, they want their glasses back. Ha!

    That's excellent news, Ziering. (Assuming you ARE, in fact, the real Ian Ziering. If I knew the original 90210 better, I could quiz you on trivia, just to make sure, but unfortunately, that was a lot of brain cells ago.) We'd hate to think they made you schlep all the way out to...wherever that was, just for a spin around the lot.

    "Power Station?" You could totally use that Robert Palmer side project song on the opening credits. You should ask him...oh, wait. Nah, go ahead, he won't mind.
