Classic Recreations to build Shelby GT500CR Continuation Mustangs

Carroll Shelby Licensing has granted a license to Classic Recreations, a well respected coachbuilder out of Oklahoma to build the Shelby GT500CR which uses classic 1967-68 Mustangs as their platform.  All Shelby GT500CR models will be built at Classic Recreations shop in Oklahoma with true authentic Shelby performance parts.  Carroll Shelby Licensing and Shelby Automobiles technical staff will provide input and oversight throughout the build process.  Each Shelby GT500CR will come with an official Shelby serial number and badges along with inclusion in the official Shelby Worldwide Registry.

The Shelby GT500CR will be available in 5 color choices, Red with White stripes, Grey with Black stripes, Blue with White stripes, Black with Grey stripes and Yellow with White stripes.  Under the hood each Shelby GT500CR will be powered by a 545 horsepower 427 cubic-inch crate motor mated to a Tremec transmission.  Other mods include Baer brakes, JBA ceramic coated headers, Be Cool aluminum radiator,  150-hp NOS nitrous system, Carroll Shelby signature seats, Simpson 5-point harness and Shelby 427 wheels.

Pricing for the Shelby GT500CR starts at $119,000.

Classic Recreations, a noted bespoke coachbuilder known for exotic Mustang supercars that have been shipped all over the globe, has been granted a license by Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc. to build an iconic continuation car based on classic 1967 and 1968 Mustangs: the Shelby GT500CR.

Every Shelby GT500CR will be built with authentic Shelby Performance parts and with input and oversight from Carroll Shelby Licensing and Shelby Automobiles technical staff. Each car built at the Classic Recreations facility will leave the shop with an official Shelby serial number, badges and will be included in the official Shelby Worldwide Registry. Classic Recreations is the first custom car builder to receive an official license to build the new GT500CR model.
