Back in August we wrote about the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro receiving an overall four-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).  The 2010 Camaro received a four-star crash rating for both the driver and front passenger impact.  It did receive a five-star safety rating for side impact and rollover crashes but the Camaros front impact four-star rating brought down the overall result.  The four-star safety rating translates to an 11 to 20-percent chance of serious injury during an accident.  The five-star rating on the other hand is a 10-percent or less chance of a serious injury during an accident.

Below I have included two videos of the 2010 Camaro being crash tested.  One of the videos is set in slow motion to music giving you several angles of the car while the other crash test video is a real time side view. Enjoy...

  1. Is it just me or does that thing look like it transfers a TON of crash energy to the driver/passenger. The front looks like it barely crumples at all, which leads me to believe internal injuries from a lack of crash absorption up front may be far worse then what the video may lead us to believe.
