Proformance Industries, a custom builder out of New Rochelle, NY was commissioned by New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera to create a custom one-off 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8.  Mr. Rivera's instructions were simple enough, build me something I can drive in New York city traffic and stay true to the Challengers roots.  So George Gjokaj, owner of Proformance Industries took Mariano's request and put it into action.

First thing they did was tear down the Challenger SRT8 and widen the body a full three-inches from the front fenders back to the rear quarters to give it a wider looking stance similar to Trans-Am racer look.  Also a custom rear diffuser was built to accomadate the wider panels.  To fill those wide fenders wells a one-off set of 20-inch custom designed wheels by Mr. Rivera and Proformane Industries were built.  The wheels measuring 20 x 12 are wrapped in 315/35/20 Pireli P-Zero rubber.

Other aftermarket accessories include a Classic Design Concepts shaker hood scoop, Mopar cold air intake, Mopar Performance cat-back exhaust system and a custom tune.  If you think the interior was left alone think again as the console was taken out and covered in leather with white stitching to match Mariano's Yankee pinstripes.  The side panels and headliner also received suede inserts.

For having undergone such a life altering widebody change this Challenger looks simple and clean and almost factory stock.  For more photos and details check out CarDomain.com.
