The media barrage for the 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia rivals a force of nature. From an oddball video with the King of F1 to in-depth features on styling, technology and more from Ferrari's own experts, there's been no shortage of media on the new supercar.

But this latest video gives us the first look of the car being driven hard, on track, and to make things even better, Ferrari puts two Italias on course at once. The resulting sounds, sights and--almost--sensations from the passing, re-passing and power-sliding are well worth the two-minute diversion from your Friday.

When you're done looking at listening to the two cars at play, head over to Ferrari's site at the link below to check out their new car building tool, and spec-out the Italia of your dreams.

  1. Uh...I don't get it. I mean the cars are gorgeous and sound great, but the "plot" of that project was odd.

  4. Alister- the "emotion" it evoked was confusion. As I said, I love the 458- it's a refreshing design and I'm sure it will be a fantastic car, but the video can contain wonderful cars doing amazing things AND make sense at the same time.
The yellow car drifting was a lame drift, the driving wasn't that great all-around.
What's the deal with the surveillance camera footage? Why was that in there? Were there secret agents driving for cripes sake?
They're obviously equally powered and braked cars, so why is one passing the other like it's standing still?
Like I said, great sound and images, just not very coherent that's all. They obviously paid handsomely for the footage- it was done professionally, just not very well IMO.

  5. Double clutch transmission, it doesn't shift. It transition gears, the next gear starts taking over drive before the previous one is released.
