Breaking News - Saab Has Been Bought by Koenigsegg

2009 Saab 9-5

Today Koenigsegg has officially announced that it has bought Saab from General Motors. This is good news for Saab, which wont have to stop production after all.

Koenigsegg, a small auto builder which makes limited series suparcars couldnt have afforded all the costs of the transaction, so the Swedish government had to intervene and guarrantee the funds necessary for Saabs survival and for building new models, such as the Saab 9-5.

The new owner, Christian von Koenigsegg, has announced that he wants to turn Saab into an independnet brand, and he foresees that Saab will start making profit again in a few years time. Still, analysts arent so optimistic, and think that Saab will have slim chances of surviving on its own.
