Dodge has announced the 2010 Dodge Challenger will come with two new "High Impact" colors for sure and maybe a third in addition to the already popular B5 Blue offered on 2009 Challenger models. The two new "High Impact" colors are Detonator Yellow and Plum Crazy with a third yet to be determined. The B5 Blue paint choice will be offered into the fall and end on October 19th. Detonator Yellow is avaible to be ordered now with production begining on those models September 28th. Detonator Yellow will only be offered on the R/T Classic and SRT8 version of the Challenger. Plum Crazy will also be returning in the fall with production on those vehicles scheduled for October 19 the same day B5 Blue ends. Discussion about the fourth "High Impact" color is on going and should be introduced in the Spring of 2010.
Why is it that the V6 can only have the Lame-o colors? I would buy one tomorrow (v6) if i could get it in either the Plum Crazy Purple or the Lime-lite Green!Come on , i would pay the 299.00 you charge the other people on the High buck models!!
yes,all colors should be available on all the challengers.but, does dodge ever do anything right?
(besides building the new challenger).let's just hope the challenger lineup continues beyond 2010.

I hope that third color somehow miraculously becomes Hemi Orange Pearl...
By asidd, what price did they charge ya? The Plum Crazy one interests me. But not sure if I am wiling to pay a premium for it with the state of the new car business. Thanks

I would literally KILL for Sublime or Lime-lite as some call it...and YES it should be offered from the SE to the SRT. Rumor mills are churning with Fusion fuchia or "panther pink" for us car geeks. That sucks....but might make more women buy the car...LMAO. Good old marketing idiots and I use the term heavily!

sucks I might have to wait for 2011 to get my Sublime....darn. You panther pink fans have all the darn luck. NOT gonna buy one til I can get my color!
I came on the site because a car club member wants to get an SRT in Lime Green and swears they're being produced. Not true, is it? I am thrilled with my 2010 RS/SS Camaro, though. Rates higher than the Challenger in most comparisons and gets much better gas mileage... lovin' it! Sorry Mopar lovers!
I got a 2009 Challenger RT Classic in B5 Blue. What a head turner, it's a great car. Might have to get another, the Plumb Crazy is just too much. Hey Rick I test drove the Camaro and it's not retro enough for me, still a nice ride though. But the Challenger is my car, I had one in the 70's when I was 17.
In the old days Challengers and Cudas came with lots of engine choices, 6 bangers, small blocks, big blocks, and the ELEPHANT!!! tire shredding, pavment riping HEMI!!!!! the Hemi got great gas milage about 2 gallons per mile, but we didn't care.

does anyone know how many plum crazy challenger srt8 manual's were made?
Regarding production numbers, here's a start:

My local, friendly Dodge dealer has two SRT8's in stock: Plum Crazy and B5 Blue. I'm having a tough time deciding between them, or waiting for a Black one.

I would have bought the Challenger SE if it was available in yellow. I went with the Camaro instead. Dodge looses again.

I've owned 4 '70's Challengers and just sold my plum crazy '72 yesterday, so I can buy a new one. I was set on Hemi orange and the high impacts are getting me rethinking. Do any of you Camaro people really think your car can turn heads like a Challenger can? You're dreaming. Mopar or No Car !
