You are probably asking yourself why Challenger sales are so low in June and the simple answer is because of the plant shutdowns. The figure I would really like to see is how many Challenger orders are there to be filled and how many are being built each day to meat those expectations. Unfortunately my high level security clearance as a Challenger blogger does not go very far at Chrysler so those facts will stay under lock and key for now. Expect to see sales up in August as production gets ramped up again.
Month to Month sales were again disappointing but we know the reason and we fully expect those numbers to increase next month. June 2009 Challenger sales were 2,695 compared to July 2009 sales of 886 which is close to a 67% decrease from the previous month.
For previous months Challenger sales check out June 2009, May 2009, April 2009 and February 2008 - February 2009.
Taking a look at the competition for the month of July:
Camaro sales were 7,113 - details
Mustang sales were 6,686 - details

the sales numbers for july are very distorted -and will increase dramatically once production restarts.
