New Jersey’s Cervini Auto Designs has just unveiled its latest modification for the Dodge Challenger - a custom ‘shaker hood’ system that helps give the car a more muscle feel, as well as proving functional by increasing airflow to the engine.

The new system actually consists of two parts, including a pre-cut hood and the 'shaker scoop' itself. The hood is constructed from fiberglass and as it has already been cut by Cervini to accommodate the scoop there shouldn't be any issues with bolting the individual parts to the Challenger’s body.

Once in place, a K&N air filter will feed the engine with more air, which should prove useful to tuners looking to increase power with simple low-cost mods. In total, the system will set back buyers close to $1,600, for which they will receive the shaker hood system in its unpainted form. Getting the new mods to actually match the car will cost an extra $100 if your car is matte black or silver, and an extra $349 for other colors.

The new hood system will only be available for the 5.7L V8 and 6.1L V8 versions of the Challenger, and should be available to order in a couple of weeks.

  1. Not bad, shaker hoods usually go well with Hemi engines
