Audi’s A8 flagship will have to soldier on in its current form for just a little while longer as the all-new 2011 model is a little more than a year away, so to help it along in showrooms Audi has released two new packages emphasizing the car’s comfort and sporting qualities.

Starting with the Comfort package, Audi adds a new Night Blue color scheme and 19in forged alloy wheels with a 12-spoke design. Inside, the seats are upholstered in beige Valcona leather, while silk Nappa leather is used for the center console, doors and dashboard. The package also includes heating for the front and rear seats, and a new seat ventilation and massage function for front seat passengers.

Opt for the Sport package and you get a car painted in an all-new Panther Black paint scheme exclusive to the A8, LED daytime running lights, sports seats in beige Valcona leather and heating for the front seat passengers. The center console, doors and lower dashboard are trimmed in black Nappa leather, while newly designed 20in cast aluminum wheels complete the list of upgrades.

Pricing for the Comfort package will set you back between € 4,200 and €14,500, depending on which A8 model you pick, while the Sport package ranges in price from €2,100 and €9,600.

    Bad stuff?

  2. I continue to be disgusted with Audi for their insistence in not putting independent turn signals in the rear but rather incorporating them with the break light. That's one of my pet peeves in cars. I always think *Ford Crown Victoria* when I see something like that.

Since this is not allowed in Europe I have to ask: WTF is the big idea with eliminating proper turn signals when the cars come to the USA?

Audi is the only one of the German big 3 with any semblance of dignity left in their lineup. Please add to it by putting proper turn signals. And turning off the DRLs. Thanks.

  3. I don't want to knock Audi because I do like their new designs, but the angle that the main pic is from makes the A8 almost look like a Chrysler 300! I hope in real life it does not look like the 300.
The new 7er can adjust the suspension
to comfort all the way to sport plus, no need for multiple versions...
