Oct.27 (GMM) Ferrari's team boss has confirmed that plans will move ahead for Valentino Rossi to return to the wheel of a formula one car.

Rossi, the high profile MotoGP rider, said last month he wants to celebrate his latest title success with another test for the famous Maranello based team.

Subsequent reports last week suggested it is possible the 29-year-old's test will take place over the forthcoming winter period.

"We have a great relationship with Valentino and we'll definitely give him the chance to be part of our group again," Stefano Domenicali told Sky television.

However, the Ferrari team boss played down expectations Rossi might want to switch to formula one.

"I think he has already decided the path for his future," Domenicali said.
